"I am called of God. My authority is above that of kings of the earth. By revelation I have been selected as a personal representative of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is my master and He has chosen me to represent Him--to stand in His place, to say and do what He Himself would say and do if He personally were ministering to the very people to whom He has sent me. My voice is His voice, and my acts are His acts; my doctrine is His doctrine. My Commission is to do what He wants done; To say what He wants said; to be a living modern witness in word and in deed of the divinity of his great and marvelous Latter-day work. How great is my calling!"

Hi!!!
It has been such a beautiful week on Temple Square. Not only has the weather been great, but the people as well. Sure I've had the usual people telling me I'm evil or belong to a cult, but also so many more great experiences that make those other moments not even matter!
Sister Hofmann asked me this week if we could go to "that Rio Cafe place people talk about". haha I was so excited but when we got there she had to go to the bathroom and so I went in to wash my hands. As I was done washing my hands I noticed to my left a Urinal! I screamed and told Sister H. we were in the mens bathroom! Oh man we laughed so hard and I think the boy standing outside the bathroom when we came out was seriously confused. Like we don't already draw enough attention to ourselves with the name tags on... good times.
This week we had Zone Conference which was soooo awesome. We had the usual training and then we went to the Hope Art Gallery that is near by Temple Square. (go if you have a chance!) There is a big room exhibiting Carl Bloch's plaintings of the Savior's life. We had time to look around, and then we had a testimony meeting. The Spirit was so strong and it was humbling to be reminded in such a way of the Savior's sacrifice for us all. I am so grateful to wear his name next to mine and testify every day that He lives and loves us more than we can comprehend; its amazing.
Something that is interesting this transfer is how many Hindu and Muslim people we have taught. I think it's because Sis. Hofmann traveled in India for a while so Heavenly Father wants them to meet her =) It seems as though if they are in town, they are destined to be on our tours. It's so fun! It is different to teach people who are not familiar with the Bible, Christ as our Savior, Priesthood authority... But they do know prophets! It is so great to see eyes light up when they hear that there were actually prophets in Ancient America who recorded their teachings in the Book of Mormon. Of all of the videos and things we offer on Temple Square, 95% of the time people just want to read the Book of Mormon. We generally only read a verse or two on tours, but every time we do, the Spirit is so strong and touches the hearts of the people. I was always a fan of the animated scripture movies...but I'm glad I get to study the Book of Mormon so much now =)
Oh one more funny experience: A guy told us he was a Lutheren and Sis H. thought he said he was a 'looser' and said "oh no! why would you say that about yourself" it was so funny/awkward.
I love being a missionary!! Sister M. Olsen
