"I am called of God. My authority is above that of kings of the earth. By revelation I have been selected as a personal representative of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is my master and He has chosen me to represent Him--to stand in His place, to say and do what He Himself would say and do if He personally were ministering to the very people to whom He has sent me. My voice is His voice, and my acts are His acts; my doctrine is His doctrine. My Commission is to do what He wants done; To say what He wants said; to be a living modern witness in word and in deed of the divinity of his great and marvelous Latter-day work. How great is my calling!"

howdy!

Hi! Missionary life in Montana is great, only in a much different way than Temple Square. I didn't realize how lucky I was to have people to teach all day long! Sis. Reyes thinks its weird that I think tracting is really really fun; its kind of what I'm use to though. We are really trying to work with the members to gain their trust and get them excited about missionary work, and I think it's already starting to work. Tonight we are having dinner with some members and they are inviting their neighbors over for us to teach and we got invited to a Father's day BBQ by a member who wants us to teach his extended family. Right now we are living with members and we have our own room and bathroom but we share the laundry room and kitchen-its a pretty nice set up. Transfers are on Friday and I'm affraid I'm going to be leaving. I know I've only been here a week but I love it so much and I'll be sad to leave the people we are teaching.
You can just send my mail to the mission home and they will forward:

We have been very blessed this week and found a couple of families to teach. Last thursday there were some little girls outside playing in their blow up swimming pool and their dad was out watching them. It turns out that he is a recovering drug addict from Utah and moved out here to live with his brother for a new start. He said he didn't want to talk to us but his daughters could and they said they wanted to =) So we came back and watched Finding Faith in Christ with the girls and the Dad and Sister-in-law watched it too! There are 4 girls under the age of 10. They had no concept of God, Jesus Christ, or anything. When Christ was walking on water the oldest busted up laughing and then during the crucifiction she said,"Oh man that sucks" and went back to what she was coloring. They had never said a prayer before so Sister Reyes and I knelt in a circle with these 4 little girls and showed them how to fold their arms, bow their heads, and say a prayer. It was such a special moment for me to pray for their families and have them hear their first prayer. They promised me next time they are scared at night they will say a prayer to feel better =) The Mom said one of her daughters is only with her every other weekend and she would like us to come when she is there to teach her too! We also met a single mom with four little kids and taught her about the restoration and she was really accepting and invited us back. Her kids have 3 different dads though so it is hard to catch them all together... Sorry Mom, I still only have 30 minutes to email. I wish I could tell you all so much more. But just know that I am happy and love serving the Lord!
Love, Maeg
