Hello my wonderful family! This week has been an interesting one. We got out new mission president. It was strange how in just a month with President Stuart I loved him so much. He was always so hyper and happy and smiley. My new President, President Holmes, is just the opposite. I've only seen him smile maybe once and he has wrinkles in a scowl so he looks kind of scary. President Stuart would just cry and tell us how amazing we are and how much he loves us and was so inspirational but this President really sternly says."You need to follow the rules. You are the face of the church and you need to look and act like it. You need to work harder than any other mission. Things are going to be different." I suppose Heavenly Father knows what the mission needs but it makes me nervous! He has been serving in the 5th quorum of the Seventy for 8 years and was the mission president in Kansas before that. His wife on the other hand is more my style! She came in and was wearing a furry cheetah coat, a skirt that is about a foot too short for temple square, and more bling bling than I have ever seen on one woman in my life! When she spoke she was just cracking jokes the whole time but had a great way of tying everything to the gospel. I think she balances him out really well. This week has been fun because it is the Sundance Film Festival up at Park City so there are a lot of interesting people coming to visit. I really feel blessed to have met so many wonderful people and have the chance to share the message of the restoration with them. I love how people's faces light up when I tell them Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Christ, or that their families can be together forever, or that God still speaks to prophets today. Being raised in the church, I never really realized how unique our message to the world really is! One blessing this week was that I ran into Kassidy Stapley! She is so cute and fun to talk to. I was kind of having a hard day that day so I know it was a blessing from the Lord that she found me and she was able to cheer me up! Brianna, Landon's sister, came to give me a letter but she never found me =( Fortunately, she found my roommates who gave it to me. Its funny because a couple of people came and told me that a girl that looks really similar to me, with the same eyes, that must be my sister, was looking for me. haha!I hope you all have a wonderful week and know that I love you VERY much and I am praying for you constantly.
All my love, Maeg

Jen Ray just pointed out to me you have a blog! So cool! I'm so glad I was able to visit with you at temple square! I love your story about your new mission pres and his wife. I'm excited to add you to my list so I can keep up on how things are going on your mission! Love you!
The Jan 24th issue of the church news has an article about new MTC presidents and visitors center directors. As soon as I saw a picture of a lady with a cheetah fur coat, I new it had to be your new mission President's wife! Sure enough...It is Sister Marian Homes of the Utah Salt Lake City Temple Square Mission. =)
