Hi Everyone! How are you!? I had a weird experience last p-day. Sis. Lara and I went to Rubios for lunch last p-day and when the guy asked for my name I seriously could not remember my first name! I just stared at the guy blankly and he said, “Um I’ll just put Olsen” because he looked at my name tag. It was so embarrassing! I just haven’t heard Maegan in such a long time! I had a really fun day this week that Sister Lara said is a taste of what the summer is like. I have been told that in the summer there are lots of big tour groups coming on buses and also lots of anti people that come to harass us. So on Monday a bus of 50 people from Canada came and Sister Lara and I got to take them around. We had to use microphone head-set thingys and it was really fun. Then at night this one guy came on our tour who seemed so nice for the first half of our tour then all the sudden as we were walking up to the Christus he just stops and starts laying into Sister Lara and I about how we don’t know who Jesus Christ is and how we just think we are going to be saved by our works. When I shared my testimony that I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that I know it is through him I can have eternal life and exhalation, and that I show my faith in Jesus Christ by the things I do, he just laughed at me and said that I don’t know what I’m talking about. Sister Lara’s face got so red =) He just recited Bible scripture after Bible Scripture and wouldn’t listen to a thing we had to say. It was like talking to a wall. We had to walk him around the corner because he was being so loud and mean. As he was talking I felt so sad in my heart for him but I was also thinking, “Please, keep persecuting me.. You are only strengthening my testimony that I belong to Christ’s true church.” lol. We finished down by the display about the Book of Mormon and shared our testimony that God answers our prayers and that we can all pray to know truth. He told us we just need to study the Bible more =) I went home feeling so flustered because he was so hard hearted. He asked me who we believe are going to Hell and I thought in my head, “Well sir, I think you are.” –I held that one in though =) Sister Lara and I went right home and prayed for him that his heart may be softened and I felt so much better! Over all, it was just a wonderful week! I am so grateful the Lord has given me the opportunity to serve a mission. I love you and pray for you all constantly. I hope you have a great week!
Gotta run! All my love, Maeg
