Hi!!
I had so many great emails today! I don't have time to read them and write so I'll print them and write you each back a letter personally. I saw Landon, Mel, and McKay at the Come Unto Christ program this last Sunday! It was so great! I saw them right before I said the opening prayer and I got so nervous I don't even know what I said. Believe it or not, I didn't shed a single tear afterwards or have a sad feeling in me! I was really happy they came and I got to talk to them for a few minutes. I'll send pictures. I had a wonderful last week with Sister Lara! We had so many great experiences and really saw miracles happen. One night Sister Lara prayed that a family would come to us, both parents and two kids, who were in Utah for a ski trip and prepared to hear more about the Gospel. So we go inside to get our tour and there are about 15 people waiting for us, and as I am introducing myself I see a family at the back (The parents and three teenage daughters). We continued on to the Tabernacle and I went to get to know them better and found out they were from Oklahoma, here on a ski trip, and didn't really know anything about the church. YAY!!! The tour was so great. One of the daughters who was about twelve was really interested and asking questions and when we would say things like,"and your family can be sealed together forever." she would say out loud, "Wow! Thats really cool!" haha I loved it. We had a few skeptical baptists in the group and she really help to lighten them up a bit =) She would even look up the scriptures we would mention on her phone! At the end, everyone left and the family stayed to talk to us and ask more questions. I was so surprised when we reinvited them and they didn't want missionaries =( They said they had never seen missionaries in Oklahoma before. When I said,"Well they may have been wearing suits and were on bicycles" they all just laughed and said,"Ohhhhh ya, they were in our neighborhood last week!" We invited them to let the missionaries into their home next time they see them and I pray that the missionaries will find them and their hearts will be softened enought to learn more. Who knows...it may just be the 12 year old that some day joins the church =) I have so many great experiences I wish I could share with you...and maybe discribe a little better in my emails =/ So much to say, so little time. So my new companion is Sister McKinlay from Michigan. She is so kind, patient, and easy-going. Perfect for our calling! Things this transfer are CRAZY!!! President Holmes has made a lot of changes and so I have felt pretty overwhelmed trying to explain them to everyone and make sure that things run smoothly. I had to train the 8 new mission services companionships this morning which I get sooo nervous about, such sweaty armpits! (Whit =) I'm so glad its over. Sisters are kind of freaking out and don't really like change--but I think its fun =) I think that by the end of this transfer things will be really great and our mission will run much more effectively...its will just take time. And a 70 is coming this week to do our mission tour, so I think that means even more change. AHHH! Its all good though. Well gotta run. I'll send some pics of McKinlay and I this week!
LOVE YOU! Maeg
